A NEW ERA IS BOURNE

After beating Manchester United, Ange's Spurs take to the road as their next home game is not for another month. James Maddison is the star of the show at the Vitality Stadium as Tottenham achieve two clean sheets in a row.
Bournemouth are pressing high up the field, but this new era of Postecoglou football is unafraid to pass around them. Evidently so when Neto's clearance is cut off by Son, who tips it to Maddison. The Englishman speeds into the box before drilling a low shot across the goal, which is quickly denied by the Brazilian goalkeeper. The boys in white continue to put Bournemouth under pressure, the final ball into the box being their only let-down. A hard-working Richarlison desperately wants to place the ball into the net, but just can't quite get his feet to any.
In the end, it is Maddison who opens the scoring. Sarr sends a through-ball to the attacking midfielder who threads the ball past Neto and into the bottom corner. Tottenham are now 1-0 up after seventeen minutes.

Bournemouth responds quickly, Kerkez leaving Porro behind to place a cross into the middle, but it is a tad too high for Solanke. Spurs are right back at it with Son once again driving down the left flank. He finds Sarr, who tries to place it in the bottom corner, but Neto is quick to collect. With Bournemouth's frail presence in the final third, the Lilywhites continue to attack. Maddison is away with the ball after Bournemouth are denied a free-kick on the edge of the D, and slides it into the box for Richarlison, who once again can't quite get it right and is eventually blocked by Rothwell.
Max Aarons seems to forget he is playing football, and rugby tackles Maddison after losing possession. Tottenham are awarded a free-kick near the left byline, which is whipped into Richarlison- the Brazilian can't get the angle precise enough and ends up heading the ball into the side netting.

Bournemouth are handed a chance when Semenyo wins the ball off Bissouma. Christie gathers the ball and runs into space, only to have his shot tipped wide by Vicario. It is straight back to Spurs as Rothwell's corner is flicked away at the near post. Kelly earns a yellow card for a late tackle on Richarlison.
In the final moments of the half, Kluivert drives the ball to the edge of the box before passing it to Billing. He attempts to curl it into the far post, but it veers just wide. Tottenham lead going into the break.
The second half begins with a change for Bournemouth, Iraola bringing on Cook for Rothwell. Bissouma and Richarlison both earn yellow cards for delayed and clumsy tackles.
Tottenham reach somewhat of a slump during the start of the second half and are caught out by Bournemouth's attack. Kluivert lays it off to Semenyo at the edge of the box who aims the shot towards the top corner, only to hit the side netting.
A band of substitutions are made by both teams, with Perišić on for Sarr, Højbjerg on for a crestfallen Richarlison, Anthony on for Kluivert and Traorè for Christie.
Finally, Udogie manages to burst into the six-yard box, squaring it to an unwatched Kulusevski to poke past Neto.

Bournemouth struggle to regain their rhythm, but a continuous high press pays off, Anthony running into the open space ahead of him, but his shot is tame and easily picked up by Vicario. Van de Ven receives a strong elbow to the face, but a quick check by VAR determines it was not hard enough to be violent misconduct. Perišić gets a yellow card off-the-ball for pushing Aarons down for initially tugging at his shirt.
Both teams make further changes with Brooks coming on for Semenyo and Skipp and Lo Celso for Maddison and Bissouma. It seems Ange wants to swap around the team to give the benched players minutes.
Udogie, uninvolved in the play, goes down holding his face. Spurs fans hold their breath as the talented young player is swarmed by medics. He eventually stands and is prepared to continue playing, only to be subbed off for Davies. The spritely 20-year-old begrudgingly leaves the pitch. It is a final roll of the dice for Bournemouth as Moore replaces Billing.
Into nine minutes of added time and a long ball to Porro turns into a chance for Davies, who launches the ball over the goal. Tottenham have the final attempt of the game, with Son running into the space Bournemouth had left from committing bodies forward. However, his low shot goes wide.
Once again, the Lilywhites gleefully take home all three points.

My thoughts and some facts about today's game
Triumphant Tottenham: This is the third season in a row where Tottenham have gone unbeaten in their opening three games. You wouldn't think it, considering our awful form during the past few seasons!
Breakable Bournemouth: Bournemouth have conceded the opening goal in the last twenty-five Premier League games, more than any other team currently in the league.
Resilient for Richy: There have been many negatives flying around about Richarlison, but I believe he needs a fair chance. He hardly had any game time last season and he is not going to miraculously improve after three games. He wants it badly, and I believe once he gets one goal, he will keep scoring. Spurs fans are so fickle at times, they need to give the guy a chance.
